My profile in a few words

 

I am semi-retired but, as I do not want my experience to go to waste, I am currently searching for a part time consulting sales or business development position in the telecommunications and/or television industry.

I have a good general knowledge of the broadcast and telecommunications sectors throughout EMEA (Mainly in CEE, DACH, Southern Europe and Benelux). I have contacts within the major Telcos and TV/Radio broadcast service providers in these regions. I have most recently been working as an independent consultant in the television sector selling Content Discovery and RecommendationsEngines, Quality of Service Solutions, Interactive Content, Middleware and Broadband Management products. Throughout my career I have been responsible for sales, account management and business development. Target markets have been Telecommunications Service Providers, Telcos, TV/Radio Broadcasters, TV/Radio Service Providers and associated Systems Integrators.

I have the international sales and business development experience which can only be achieved by face to face contact with prospects and customers. This experience cannot be gained by reading books. My understanding of international business techniques in a range of High Tech industry sectors makes me an ideal Business Development Manager, Account Manager or Channel Manager. I feel it would be a terrible waste to let my knowledge slip away. I am really happy to pass it on to people of lesser experience who would like to get a foothold in International Business Development and Sales.

I currently live in Central France, close to Limoges. This is a very good location for travelling anywhere in mainland Europe. I am close to highway links, close to a mainline train station and close to a regional airport.
